How does the taskbar look with Taskbow? For me, Taskbow work correctly. The 3D look work. The only problem is that the labels are too high when the icons size is 32x32 px (But I guess Windows 11 is also problematic).

Just tested it out in my Win10 1909 setup. Works as expected but it breaks the ability to enable glass on the navigation bar with OldNewExplorer

Please precise your version of Windows 10. 21H2 You may have a problem close to the problem of @ʇǝǝ ๅ ftw. 21h2 seems to pose a start menu problem. If you use the classic theme taskbar mitigation, is also possible that you do not follow the instruction of this tutorial: www.winclassic.net/thread/990/windows-classic-theme-on-1903

I updated Windows around 21h2 ; I have no issues with ExplorerPatcher for now . it's a f****** broken s*** that messes up the taskbar and doesn't work! it is broken trash and not a useful program About your problem, I can only advise you to read the excellent tutorial written by anixx : github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcher/discussions/167Secondly, I find that insulting free software (and therefore also the developer) because it does not work, is a despised and displaced attitude. ExplorerPatcher works for many people, if you do not have the case for you, this is either because there is something you have not done correctly, or because the software contains a bug in yours configuration. The bug are not the fault of the developers, and a constructive attitude is to report the bug to the developer. To ExplorerPatcher, I advise you to report the bugs on this forum: www.elevenforum.com/t/new-version-of-explorerpatcher.1991/ (without insulting the software or the developer) In addition I advise you to read this: carlchenet.com/foss-passive-consumerism-kills-our-community/

My issue was actually not related to ExplorerPatcher, instead the start menu items were just corrupted.

Well, my point is that all the elements that were on the taskbar were broken. I can only advise you to reinstall EP, then follow this tutorial very carefully : github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcher/discussions/167If you miss certain steps, such as replacing the Open-Shell start-menu DLL, you will actually get a broken taskbar.

Which version of Explorer patcher should I use on Windows 10 version 1903 18362.239? I installed the latest version of the explorer patcher and it works, but the explorer keeps restarting...

You always should use the latest version, and the restarts are possibly due to some conflict.

Using Windows 10 21H2, explorer restarts upon opening the setup exe and that's it.
