Hi, im new here so I dont know where exactly this should go but this discussion was already mentioned like 2 years ago but the explanations were lacking in a way. Ive been researching ways to change the toolbar to be like Windows XP like here. Ive gotten up to a point but couldnt go any further because of lacking or unworkable instructions.

I already wrote this in the general discussion but im going to move it here. I saw that some managed to successfully download findexer. Ive (and some also) have been struggling on installing findexer. To those who sucessfully installed findexer: how were you able to do it? And yes, i did try the 64-bit and nothing.
For now, I was able to change the color of the nav panel using QTTABBAR. Next thing is to add the "xp boxes" but that I need Findexer.

You should have a Register.bat file and a FindeXer.dll. Let's say you have FindeXer.dll in a folder you made "C:\Classic\FindeXer"
You can try by opening Register.bat and replacing "regsvr32 FindeXer.dll" with "regsvr32 C:\Classic\FindeXer\FindeXer.dll"

Click on Profile at the top, the click on "Edit Profile" which is to the right. From there, you can change your avatar.

I Want A Windows 11 Classic Theme. It Must Look Identical To Windows 95, By The Way... Well, Not Identical, But Really Close! Windows 95 Does Not Have An Gradient On The Title Bar, But Later Versions Do, So I Want It To Lean Closer To Windows 2000.

Use SCT but you need to disable tabs in explorer (you can use windowsblinds then you don`t need to remove tabs)

I want to make Windows 10 like Windows 8, what ca I use to get the best results Hello, welcome to the Winclassic forums! I see you are trying to make Windows 10 look like Windows 8, You need the UltraUXThemePatcher, then download the Windows 8 themes for Windows 10 here: www.deviantart.com/sagorpirbd/art/Windows-8-Themes-for-Win10-Final-556761647?_sm_au_=isVSVSN6n15K5J4DJ7F4vKHNTRsst, however, it requires you to login to DeviantArt, if you don't have a DeviantArt account, you can create one. Then get StartIsBack++, and set the taskbar style to Windows 8, Then get the Windows 8 icon pack by 2013Windows8.1 here: github.com/2013Windows81/IconPacks Hope it helps.

As for disabling it, your options are OldNewExplorer (Explorer-only), Taniko's Windhawk mod (64-bit applications only), or BasicThemer2-Detours (from what I've heard, needs development tools installed on your system in order to work).
