Well knowing how MS is slowly killing the desktop UI, it really wouldn't surprise me if they just removed it altogether. Try copying timedate.cpl and timedate.cpl.mui from Windows 7 and see if you can get that to work.

Well shoot, I should get a Win10 VM running so I can test stuff myself. In the meantime, if you need any Win7 files, just ask.

Ok, what's your system locale? For example, for me it's en-US (English, United States).

So you can get the old clock back now? yes startisback has the win7 clock nowadays u need this reg for it to work www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-old-windows-clock-calendar-windows-10 if u add it to your taskbar i see 3 ways Try to force enable the reg as true in your program , ask the dev how he did it or hexedit startisback see how it ticks with that thing . maybe even processhacker to see the what makes it launch.

I've tried looking into the sib assembly, though I suck at assembly so I can't really understand it. I did find the place where it opens the clock though so I'll keep hitting my head against the table for now.

I now know. It detects if the registry key is enabled. If it is, it subclasses a new window with class "ClockFlyoutWindow" and shows it. If anyone knows how to hook into explorer you could do this easily.

And startisback + classic3 theme are basically a good thing to copy for your taskbar maybe make it load the theme but allow it to use system colors instead of theme colors ....
