Personally, I think that Windows XP is a classic Windows operating system 1 and I think that some Windows XP themes would be useful to this site. These are the themes that I think could be added to this site. You are welcome to express your thoughts about this suggestion. (1) Windows XP Luna - This theme is the default theme of Windows XP, and having the option to choose between Blue, Olive Green and Silver for this would be great. The buttons can be Windows XP styled. The wallpaper is the standard Windows XP wallpaper, known as Bliss. (2) Windows XP Classic - To make this theme different, you can refer to the theme used for the Windows XP Command Line program. The style of the close button, used on some dialogs, can remain the same size, or be adjusted. Additionally, the themes can also have different colors like the Luna, while keeping the wallpaper the same as the Windows 2000 theme. Reference Images: (Not the best quality, I know, but if anyone has higher quality reference images that they want to share, they are permitted to share them.) ^ Windows XP Luna (Blue) ^ Windows XP Luna (Silver) ^ Windows XP Luna (Olive Green) Notes:1: This is just my opinion, other people may have a different opinion, and I respect that.

Oh boy. So a little backstory here: this is actually something that I've been considering since day one of starting this forum. The original plan was to start with a basic Win2k theme and eventually branch out from that once we had it looking good, which is pretty much exactly what ended up happening with the current themes we have. Once all that was done, we could see if it would be practical to add additional themes, primarily Luna. And even today, I would love to have it as an option. However, I unfortunately don't really see it happening anytime soon. The thing is, while we do already have multiple forum themes, they are honestly pretty much the same exact theme internally with some different parameters that make them unique. This was done by design, and it has made maintaining and updating them extremely straightforward and practical. When one is updated, the changes made to it can be applied to the other themes in a matter of minutes. Now obviously Y2K is quite different (although that theme requires almost zero maintenance since it's essentially just a time capsule into WinClassic's early days) and the SysCol theme actually does use some additional hacks to achieve certain system colors where they otherwise wouldn't be possible. But other than that, the main 4 themes are nearly identical to one another. A Luna theme would be a major departure from this, as it would essentially require us to create an entirely new theme completely from scratch. This would not only require time that I sadly don't have right now, but it would also make maintaining all the different themes quite difficult in the long run, even more so if we were to include Luna's different color variations. I'm not saying it would be impossible, but it would be impractical without a plan for how that's going to work. Sorry if this is disappointing to hear, but I do want to be realistic about this. Again, I would absolutely love it as an option, and I don't want to say that we'll never ever do it. But as much as it pains me to say this, it's unlikely to be added anytime soon. Edit: I know I forgot to mention Mobile Friendly as a "unique" theme we have. But similar to Y2K, that theme is pretty much static since it's essentially just a recolored version of the default ProBoards theme.
