Have you found a way to automate the installation of Windhawk mods, without user intervention ? I haven't looked into it yet. I suspect something could be done with the portable version of Windhawk. The problem is that the portable version cannot run many mods essential for the classic theme.

K4sum1 Most of the features work fine in Windows 8, but you will have the issue that the top of the Explorer will have a white strip, because the ribbon menu is not disabled. If you know of any good open source tool to fix this, let me know. toprak Here are some Windhawk mods I've tried on W10 (21H2), that I like, and seem to work well: * Classic Explorer Treeview * Classic List Group Fix * Classic Task Dialog Fix * Classic UWP Fix * Clientedge (3D border) in choosen apps * DWM Unextend Frames * Explorer 32px Icons * Fix Classic Theme Maximized Windows * Icon Resource Redirect (Works great with W7's imageres.dll) * Message Box Fix
Sorry for late reply, could not log in the site. Thanks for info, I will try them.

I found the issue.
This key and its subkeys was removed Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes\DefaultColors
the subkeys for me were HighContrast and Standard. Luckily I had a similar setup on another PC and found the discrepancy. I imported the missing keys back into my registry and it seems to be fixed now .
------------------------------------------------- Im using windows 10 version 22H2 Im having a major issue. After I wasn't satisfied with the results and uninstalled, but now my theme gets reset or changed to something else everytime
I uninstalled and cleared cache but it keeps happening.
I use a high contrast theme, but locking the screen (or login/logout) breaks this and resets the theme. Not only does this slow down my login/logout but it also breaks the theme once I log back in

dml0b3i I had no idea it caused issues with high contrast themes. I'll look to rectify this in the next release, thank you.

Fierelier This is a common error. In reality, the only key to delete is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes\DefaultColors\Standard If we directly delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes\DefaultColors, it blocks high contrast themes.
