Magic School Bus Dinosaurs demo game refuses to run without indeo codecs which is disabled since Windows 8. Fortunately i found solution to this on vogons forum.
DCHOOSER.exe used to launch game selection is not running natively but DCHOOSER.DAT has launch options in it. Just open it with text editor.
Now you can run desired game from either Command Prompt or create a schortcut for MPLAUNCH.EXE and add game name to the shortcut. Apparently Microsoft removed these codecs for security reasons so it's your decision to keep them enabled or disable after playing the game.
