Update! Im very new to this, so im pretty proud with how it looks, basically ive just disabled the visability on everything to get to how this is, replaced images and adjusted their coords the PFP is faked, overlayed the frame and stuff, I tried making it a real overlay with border but have absolutely no idea how to do this -if you want me to stop posting it in here since it is for XP I will just let me know- Attachments:

Keep at it! Also, FYI, The little search bar image directly to the right of the PFP isn't necessary and you can very well just delete it, I added it for looks Also, if you need to find the images used in the login screen using a windows vista VM, I think you can find every single one in either msgina.dll or logonui.exe (that's how I got the assets for the XP login screen), they should both be in the System32 folder
For the rest, I think it looks pretty accurate! Keep up the good work!

Also, Windows 10-7, I think it is a good idea to move your fork to another thread, make a thread specifically for the Windows Vista login screen, so it's easier for people who are looking for a windows vista login screen replica to find it. Also Windows 7, I suppose, I mean, I'm pretty sure the Windows 7 login screen just swaps out some images anyways

If you wanna try! -of course you know the risks, could potentionally brick your pc if all goes wrong, and im not repsonssible for any damages, cause you used this at your own ridk!= warning aside! feel free to try it out! I tried this on my actual pc - Windows 10 22H2 and it worked fine, glitches aside since I don't actually know how to code, if you want the source code ill post it? but i dont know how to compile a source code, its still all in the winXP Login screen source, so to save on file size I just zipped up the ClassicLoginShell in ProgramFiles, if it doesnt work on start up let me know, ill post the source! -If you wanna try and modify it yourself/make my shitty edit better feel free! I do wanna try and add the two Vista bitmaps when the program is started, the glowing orb before the login screen appears -things are expected to break as said above, I don't know how to code! -the shutdownbutton is one image that opens the options -the welcome message is still the one from XP, -the profile picture isn't real time, its still the fake one I made www.mediafire.com/file/vaf2am1vj9w9uet/ClassicLogonShell.zip/fileCREDITS: Nik. Mabel {for some reason I can't tag anyone}

This is amazing! But how do I change the user pfp manually and how do I modify the background and branding to be Windows 7?

This is genuinely awesome, never thought I'd see something like this. Interested to see how this develops, especially an edit with Windows 7 branding.

For the Windows Vista/7 login screens you should use the Windows Vista/7 default profile pictures

On the left is Windows 7 default login screen | Right: ClassicLoginShell: 7 skin! Keep in mind this is made with my Screen resolution 1360 x 768, so it looks fine on mine? might not be the case for you, and added the default background was thinking about making different exe's for different brandings, but overall, pretty proud of this! Keeping an eye on this, my desktop uses an Aero skin as opposed to my Luna based laptop
