i cant seem to get it to work at all. ive replaced the files on windows 10 1809 ltsc and it just doesnt work. every time i right click and say run as admin, it says it cant find the uac program. any idea why? There is also a registry tweak you need to do manually, not talking about the reg file in the zip. If you dont do that uac wont work. so theres another tweak we have to do thats just besides the included uac reg file? what is it then?

On Windows 11, it threw this error. Signature of consent.exe affects this maybe? (judging from the error message)
Is there any fix for this on Win11 22H2+ ?

Viewing the certificate information shows it expired in 2021 which makes sense. Same issue here on W10 LTSC 2019, with WindowBlinds 11 (Aero11 theme). EDIT: Fixed! It works fine if you just keep the existing consent.exe.

Replacing consent.exe with 1507's one reduces the time to open the dialog and you can also hear the sound. ( Brawllux found this out) It works on Windows 11 as well as Windows 10.

It doesn't work on my end, I'm still getting the XAML UAC, my system is en-US and I have Windows 10 1809 LTSC, and after inspecting "Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{745a5add-6a71-47b9-9bb9-31dd3a6913d4}\InProcServer32" and "Authentication UI CredUI Helper.reg", it seems like no matter what I do, Windows reverts the default value to "%SystemRoot%\SysWow64\authui.dll", instead of "%SystemRoot%\system32\authui.dll" like in the reg file, even I change it manually, it reverts the value if I go back to that page.......

I was importing it normally, but I've just tried importing as TrustedInstaller via Winaero Tweaker this time and that also did not work

I remember some users having trouble with reg keys because some icon packs can break x64 regedit. When that happens windows defaults to the 32 bit version, causing it to only be able to modify 32 bit key locations in registry. Try fixing your regedit.exe using sfc and try again.

You should note that doing this will break Slide to Shut Down (slidetoshutdown.exe) I am aware pretty much noone uses it anyways, so this won't matter to 99% of people. But I think this is something to be aware of regardless.
