Some files i use contain stuff imported from beta versions of windows and those are en-US only. You can also take these files from you're localized Windows mui files that is needs, for example is wucltux.dll.mui. You can take the Windows 7 Style from the Windows 7 K iso and replace that instead.
However, it's a little bit harder to do with alternative English localisations (such as en-GB), since these were only introduced in Windows 8. You'd have to take the files from the English version of Windows 7 (which is en-US) and modify them in Resource Hacker to be en-GB, I think. |

btw i just tried opening .reg files with WinaeroTweaker/ExecTI and nothing happens or it doesn't let me this happened to me too when i tried importing them with winaero tweaker, what worked for me was launching cmd.exe through winaero and doing 'reg import {file}.reg' where {file} is the path to the reg file |

btw i just tried opening .reg files with WinaeroTweaker/ExecTI and nothing happens or it doesn't let me If I want to use Winaero Tweaker for SYSTEM/TrustedInstaller, I just use 7-Zip File Manager as SYSTEM and Registry Editor. But I had no problems with Winaero Tweaker. |

I started this project like a month ago, seeing Microsoft ruining the good old control panel more and more with every update was what started it. Currently i managed to restore Personalization,Windows Update,Display, Notification Tray icons,Default Apps(only visual,half of the page is broken still),Performance Info and tools and its score that can also redirect you to that page in system CPL. The pages open inside CPL without needing to open in an external window(some applet settings still do that unfortunately).Tested in both Windows 10 1903 and Windows 10 22H2(not tested for 11).I am thinking about making a guide too but cant guarantee anything for now. UPDATE 22/8/2023 Here is the first version of this pack. You are the first person that reports an issue like that. Please try copying the dlls over again and restart the PC. Some improvements to 7 Style CPL Restoration scheduled to be added in the next update of the pack. Most are just for looks since 7 dlls have lots of trouble running on 8.X and above. |

Some applets functionalities can't be restored unfortunately but you can still view their pages(eg 7 style usercpl.dll). There is a way to restore links on versions 1507-1809 instead of importing files to shell32.dll.mun you directly import them to shell32.dll but it will require you to break shell32.dll's signature and will force you to disable secure boot and choose "disable driver signature enforcement" every time you boot. It's not very secure so thats why i wouldn't recommend attempting to get links on Windows 10 versions 1507-1809. THREAD UPDATE 9/10/2023 Updated the title to avoid confusion. VERSION 1.0 22/8/2023 Here is the first version of this pack. I did exactly that,always ended up breaking the signature. Even if its size changed by one byte it becomes broken. |

I am using the latest version rn. So basically you just open the file in resource hacker,import the resources, overwrite the code and save? I am gonna test it today to see if i did something wrong while testing. |

Still cant do it,even if i change 1 letter it breaks .Can you send me your shell32.dll please? I wanna take a look at it. |
