is there by chance that the nlasvc from win7 would work as network flyout on a later windows?

Tried that on 8.1...no luck. Doesn't seem to make any visible changes, other than (possibly?) preventing the metro-style flyout from doing its job.

howabout use the win7 van.dll and revert to win8 style flyout with winaerotweaker? tried that??
Edit Rundll32.exe van.dll,RunVAN that run command is said to run win7 flyout for network in windows 8

And yep, same problem even with many Win7 network-related dlls and Win7 explorer put into the same directory. It won't work. Alternatives such as PE Network Manager and NetSetMan exist though. |
