The recent downtime of Microsoft has been quite sudden, if your computer has been affected, please say down below in the reply. This has made some users have no internet, airport disruption and BSODS and one drive disruption, I’ve been lucky and both my computers are fine but please say below if this has impacted you and if you have any workaround
R.O.B.

The Jackal
Please pin this if possible.
This may make your computer UNUSABLE today

This proves once again that you should not use a Microsoft account to log in, contrary to what Microsoft recommends. I think it's the computers logging in with the Microsoft account that are affected.
EDIT : I tried to connect to the Microsoft Store with my Microsoft account, it seems to work, although it is slower than usual.
EDIT 2 : Obviously, there were two simultaneous failures. One, already resolved, concerning Microsoft 365. The other with Crowstrike security software. Be careful if you have Crowstrike software, this is where there may be a crash/BSOD.

It's the fault of CrowdStrike antivirus, not any particular Windows Update. I doubt the forum's target audience will use such an AV

Use by individuals or small companies is probably very marginal.

This is why I use Local Account.

This is why I use Local Account. Yes, me too. Obviously what happened today was unrelated, but there was still an outage in Microsoft 365 services, which were likely using CrowdStrike. This reminds us that we are not immune to a Microsoft server failure.

I have a local account, but my main account is Microsoft and it’s fine

I don't think this affected users who do not use cloud services. Even if they used MS account.

Yeah, it didn't. It affected users of CrowdStrike's antivirus software. So pretty much none of us.

Customizing Windows shouldn't be as painful as Leopold II's atrocities.

There have been no articles that this update breaks Windows, aside from the update constantly failing. The update is completely unrelated to this incident (and the first article I see is from february).

enderboy Personally, no. Without being indiscreet, what is your region/state ?

According to this page, there seem to be problems with several internet providers in the United Kingdom : istheservicedown.co.uk/This does not seem to be the case in France (although my provider seems to have some isolated outages at the moment, I am not affected).
