Oh for sure.

Windows 11's Notepad isn't an UWP app, it's just a Win32 app packaged as a "Microsoft Store app" (similar to what the Microsoft Store version of Skype do). Notice how Notepad windows still resize when explorer.exe isn't running.

One thing that appears to be the trend, is the use of faint colors (or generally poor contrast themes) in 'modern' guis, like on W10 and 11.

And some web pages use light blue text on white background. What happened to crisp colors?

Also other software, like Blender (which I'd like to learn to use, but it has a steep learning curve because of its UI)seems to follow the same pattern. Although there is a version of it that has more icons than the original one (Bforartists), they (icons) are mostly gray scale.

I'm aware, that using key shortcuts instead of clicking icons is more cost effective in the business world. But does that leave any room for the project to 'take a breath'?

I've watched some Youtube videos, where pros explain how 'outdated' this or that software is, if it has more traditional ui. There seems to be aggressive attitude toward
anything that doesn't fit in their world view/budget. Just cold calculation.

Although this day, there is more computer capability to use than ever, creativity appears to avoid such supreme power.

No wonder that the world keeps on flattening in every ways.
