1. Any news regarding it? 2. Why not use Classic Shell instead of StartIsBack++?

Well, I like Classic Shell because it allows for custom entries in the right hand pane of its Start Menu. I'll use StartIsBack++ once support for them is added to it.

project removed from mdl due to trolls calling it a waste of time and other insults.
brief rundown of what this is:
if you have upgraded to windows 10 and wish you hadn't bothered, don't roll back just yet!
with this project you can have the best of both worlds, parts of windows 7/8 + the core of windows 10. This is all done on an installed os, cuts out all the making wims and isos part. I've research as much as I could find on all the bits i've removed to avoid ending up with a trashed install.
what does this mean?
with a collection of batch files, reg edits and a bit of tinkering you can bring a bit of 7 to 10.
- removes as much of the windows runtime as possible without breaking the whole os (not to be confused with windows rt) |_ kills shell experiences, start menu, settings app and other RT stuff (a 3rd party menu is recommended, winx menu is still functional)
- restores 7/8 tray icons (network, volume, bluetooth etc) also reverts network flyout to 8's
- adds back windows 7 games + vista's ink ball, media center, windows mail, dvd maker, movie maker, windows photo gallery (mod of old live photo gallery), desktop gadgets, start menu shortcuts are also restored, also added are old regedit, calc, sticky notes & sound recorder
- removes the whole AppX platform, killing all apps support completely.
- adds back various control panel applets and some extras (some things don't work like screen resolution as that's been removed from windows 10 and only available in the settings app) a free 3rd party resolution selector has been used as a replacement, other things have been restored such as display scaling, personalization, bluetooth cpl, manage wireless networks and a few others
- batch files are included to remove various components and also to bring the optional features list down to what was included in 7
those are the main points.
still working on various things, the core of the project is done this includes;
essentials tweaks (services, logging, ui etc) registry removals (rt, appx, services, drivers, tasks etc) cbs removals file / folder removals restoration of old features / replacing various system files and adding old apps batches to delete temporary files
then there's also a bonus folder to remove unused language componets / files and batches for further slimming down of windows. (these are optional)
I won't be uploading till i've ironed out all the little issues.

This is stupid as f**k.
First, it works FOR YOU. For the programs, you have installed. There are millions of other configurations out there where this will not work and the user will have a bad experience. Have you even tested this on several hardware platforms installing it physically instead of virtualization?
Second, unless you are using a PC from 1999, Windows 10 works fine. Its much faster than Windows 7 due to under the hood improvements which Im sure you didnt even stop to look at the technical documentation. To my surprise, its even faster in 1803
Third, Ive been using Windows 10 since probably the day Microsoft Toolkit came out. Ive used their UWP applications like..........3 times. Noone is forcing you. The only one I actually like and works great is Alarms.
Forth, the slobberfest of hacks you are doing is disgusting and vomiting. Calling a batch to update Windows? Making a s**tty HTML iframe with taskbar settings? AT LEAST, make it look good instead of a clusterf**k of paperclipped crap.
Fifth, just to prove your further stupidity, when you say that "feedback doesnt matter because Microsoft doesnt listen"...Havent you stopped and thinked that maybe, just maybe, they are actually receiving more positive feedback than negative? When you search online for something, anything, product or service, you are always going to find more "bad things" than "good things" because people love to complain. Hardly noone wants or has the time to say good things about something else.
Also, you mention that you included Pinball in this; That kind of distribution is illegal and will get you in hot water.
Stop wasting your life. Windows 10 is the future and will be the future. Applications will slowly drop support for Windows 8.x and Windows 7 so all of this is just a waste of your time.
Noone is forcing you to use Windows. Just use a Linux operating system and using application virtualization you can run your favorite Windows programs in a native format from a server.

Unless you're just trolling. In any case, you are of course more than welcome to critique this wherever you feel is necessary. However, the way that you present your points does come across as an attack. I'm going to have to ask you to please be more considerate toward other members.

Also, you mention that you included Pinball in this; That kind of distribution is illegal and will get you in hot water. I can tell you from firsthand experience that this is more than likely false. The worst they might do is file a cease and desist, and it will end there as long as you comply (you'll only get into hot water if you don't). That being said, I would still advise against it.

same idiot trolls here as well, i decided to contine thread on mdl forum.
it works on multiple configs, as i have several computers / laptops. it only messes with windows files so there's no problem there. I swear users like that shouldn't have a pc or be online, because they are obviously morons. (pasting same post from one forum onto another)

Yea they dont understand the importance of what we are doing man . They act like windows to go never was invented. Microsoft slows down system files and hasnt included list with what to remove and what to keep since win95/98
