I found this really cool program on GitHub today. It's a recreation of Windows Vista's logon orb for Windows 10. Tested it, works good with both standard Windows 10 logon screen and ConsoleLogonHook. Here's the link: github.com/xxxman360/LogonVistaOrbIt also restores logon and shutdown sounds. |

It's a cool program; however, I wasn't able to get it working on my install but I got it working under a VM. it probably works but displays just in that time when your display is changing resolution |

There is a extreme high probability that the VM won't work, but the host machine work stably.

i tried this out on windows 11 and it works as intended and also gosh this one vista orb animation just gives windows some more life

Event (default) or Startup? Event 1074 on System log Well it's kinda weird that happens when I restart, it shows the logon orb for a second, and refused to do so. Luckily, I pressed down the power button on my laptop for about like 5 seconds, and start it up again. It's already solved by power button from PC/Laptop, but some sort of like bug. |

Yes, it's still pretty buggy. Sometimes the orb will not show up at all even though I installed it. Someone on my YT suggested that it works better if fast boot is disabled. And I'm guessing the reason he said it is because Task Scheduler will sometimes skip running the task if fast boot is on. Personally I don't have it enabled and I'm not sure about your situation either. But if you do have it disabled, and you're facing this problem, that is something out of my control, and is a bug Microsoft needs to fix. Task Scheduler was the only way I could have LogonVistaOrb use as little resources as possible while still being able to "prepare" itself to load on shutdown or restart.

Windows Vista didn’t have fast boot, so I disable it on Windows 10. But sometimes the orb didn’t show. I think it’s the problem of Wait for Windows Audio Service option. I disabled it. Now it worked just fine.
