Hi, this is my first thread. Actually I just made an account to download something on this forum in this place, but I had questioned myself about this and remembered I have an account so, yeah. Would making the titlebar, for example, completely dark blue instead going from dark blue to light blue (gradient) use less CPU? I'm not sure does this actually disables the gradient or just makes it appear there is no gradient? I know that the performance increase would probably be negligible, but just asking.

I would imagine it would have a very minuscule/borderline-unnoticeable boost in performance, however I don't have any data to back this up. In order to test this, you'd likely need really old hardware with a very weak CPU. Interestingly, a couple of the earlier Windows XP Beta/Whistler builds had an option to turn this off in the system performance options.
Also, regarding downloading attachments, unfortunately that's a ProBoards limitation that I have no control over (I'd prefer to allow anyone to download them if I had a say in the matter). That being said, I'm glad you decided to post here. You are, of course, more than welcome to engage in other discussions as well if you'd like.
