It's no a bug or a glitch. The older context menu, which Classic theme uses, has been disabled by Mircosoft. The tweak to re-enable them was removed in build 1809, so the only way to get the older context menus back is by using rikka0w0's patch: github.com/rikka0w0/ExplorerContextMenuTweaker/releases. The menu is only blank because it's trying to use the newer style context menus which are not compatible with Classic theme. You need to use Rikka0w0's patch to re-enable the older context menu.

Hey all, I followed this tutorial on setting up a classic theme on Windows 10: www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvqhd9jFeX8It all works decently and I would totally start using it daily, but the right click menu inside the explorer is broken: ibb.co/RNrR5XLDoes anyone know what causes this or how to fix this? Else I really cant use it.

I would suggest taking a look at ExplorerContextMenuTweaker. Here's the download link and how to intall: github.com/rikka0w0/ExplorerContextMenuTweaker/releasesYou only need to do this once, after that it will automatically activate every time. Note that when explorer loads, the first time you right click it won't work but starting from the second time it will work consistently.

Hey, I have the same issue! it's just a tall list with no characters loaded, though it will still take some actions when you click. I haven't figured out any way to fix it on my own, but again, You're not alone!

Same thing. You can use ExplorerContextMenuTweaker to fix it.

It's best to just upgrade at this point, the W10 patch is pretty buggy and will be obsolete in a few years anyway.

Recently I've been installing a few laptops after ltsc windows iot was released. It seems to be hit and miss if the right click menu is working or not. On a clean windows it usually doesn't work but after installing something like winrar with cascaded context menus the right click menus work again.

I want to add that the context menu patch in ExplorerPatcher is more stable and also works on Windows 10 as of a couple of days ago. The Windows 10 support is still unstable though and SCT has not reflected this change in support yet.

Explore Patcher seems to support Windows 10 from 1803 or 1809, and the insription in the registry that restores the native menu works until 1803, I think the problem is for the moment resolved.

I've been throttling this problem for the last 6 hours! Neither Tweaks nor Patcher works fully. I have right clicks only when I take the time to painstakingly re-inject a specific command to make the taskbar right click work, while disabling or enabling context menus did nothing either in patcher. With ECMT I can right click only certain things such as start menu items, and specific program context menus like everything.exe
Between all of that, it would be excusable but windows explorer crashes whenever I right click anywhere. And because of how finicky this all is, that often means 2-3 minutes of downtime while the computer waits for everything to reload.
I wish there was some kind of information on this, but after hours of searching I'm coming to the conclusion that it's a unique problem no one has ever reported before. Everyone either said patcher worked for them, or never experienced anything that would crash explorer even if it didn't work.

You seem to be having many issues and you’re getting a million solutions from different people which are all based on their (little) personal experience with Simple Classic Theme. Just send me a list of all software you use (currently, not what you have tried) and what your issues are.

I've found issues with right clicking the desktop while iconoid is open. It says "Iconoid cannot find desktop" is there a fix around?
