Windows Defender is detecting it as a "Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.C!ml". False positive? SCT, messes with Windows’s object security, which Defender really doesn’t agree with. So yeah, false-positive.

Has there been any update to fix the search bars and the issues I'm having with getting this to launch at startup? if you are on 1909 and you talk about explorer search bar i suggest taking ExplorerFrame.dll from 1903 iso and replacing it in system32 and syswow64

yes. Remember to copy it from system32 and replacing it in system32, and from syswow64 to syswow64 ( do not use a system32 one inside syswow64)

Unfortunately it doesnt work for 20H1 (even replacing files doesn't because it crashes explorer).

Hi, first of all, sorry if my issue has already been discussed in other post. I tried to follow the guide yesterday but I could not properly install the application because the mid left "install" button was gray out. Anyway, that's not the foremost issue, although it would be nice if I could solve it, the main problem is that after failing to install it, my windows explorer stays exactly the same but with the font of w98. Same happened with browsers, now the font in the search box for example is a little bit different than the one previous installation. There could be other apps that changed its font. For the record, I don't have ltsb or ltsc, I've tried reseting the font configuration in control panel and I've also tried clear type. Any clue about what could be the problem? Thanks for the help.

This is a known bug. Please use version 1.0.5 instead. I will make an update around may as I’m currently overwhelmed with school stuff and have almost zero free time in my hands.

The old explorer search bar isn't completely removed in 20H1, as you can see it in the control panel. It keeps its classic look even if you go to other folder by using the address bar. I think there would be a new way to restore the classic search bar. (or automate opening control panel and going to some folder using ahk?)

It works because you disabled UAC. If you enable it, it would stop working . (I know that you need to disable it to have classic theme, but on my main PC I dont use it, only on a 2nd because it's low powered machine)

I really think someone should just write a new file explorer. Microsoft then can't rape it with updates and it would probably be a lot faster.

Any way to get some of these features (specifically the clientedge fix) working on Windows 7?

Every time I use SimpleClassicTheme, Windows permanently revert the login/restart background color to the default blue, and I can't find any option to change it.
