Any way to get some of these features (specifically the clientedge fix) working on Windows 7? clientedge fix? I might be mistaken but I saw something in this thread about clientedge and i was hoping there was a way to enable it for 7's explorer. right now the explorer borders are a flat color to flat color transition instead of the 3d borders style of classic theme |

EDIT: I ran it, now my Adress and search bars are entirely missing. Yes, it is multi-functional. If you do not want some functionality, you have to edit the script and remove the unneeded parts. Your screenshot shows you still do not have ClientEdge. To get it you should install Folder Options X utility and check the "Enable icon reordering" option (it will change the control class used for the inside of the folder to the one used in Win95-XP). The script is written to add ClientEdge to that class. |

Oh in that case you possibly have to enable the option to open each folder in a separate window. The ClientEdge is added on window creation and when you change the folder no message is generated (so the script cannot get activated) but ClientEdge is removed. |

On a fresh install of windows 10, downloaded the tool for this PC. I follow the guide as instructed, I click "use classic taskbar" and I do not have any option to install missing files. The install missing files option is greyed out regardless. Suggestions? Use v1.0.5 |

Thanks, unfortunately I'm still having the problem I described above where I'm having to choose between either the skinny taskbar bug or an unskinned windows explorer. I will try a fresh re-install and see if that corrects the problems.

It shows you how to solve unskinned explorer windows I must be particularly stupid  -- I've read it a couple of times now, I don't see the solution for that specific problem in the google doc or in the original post, sorry ._. No. You aren't. I'm stupid to an extreme length, I didn't update the guide yet. Here's how to fix it 1. Open explorer 2. Press Alt -> Tools -> Folder Options 3. Go to View tab 4. Check "Launch Folder Windows in a Separate Process" 5. Hit apply 6. If it's still bugged restart your computer

Ignore SCT for a moment. Open the file I linked. If it still gives an error make a screenshot, so that I can see where the error came from.
