This looks great! I do have a suggestion, though: I don't think that the original classic theme has thin, raised 3D borders for property windows. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, you can see this same thing in the "About Windows" window in your screenshot. I was running Win98SE in a vm the other day and that's why I noticed this.
Regardless, if I can get Object Desktop up and running I'll definitely give this a shot!

Hey, do I need to install the whole theme for the Classic Shell skin to work? 'Cos the skin does not work, save for submenus. I've tried it with Open Shell and with the version of Classic Shell you mentioned

I'm not sure why, I'm on fully updated Windows and the theme works fine. Only issue is OpenShell, but I think that's its own issue.

Personally I feel Windowblinds is the most stable option for a classic theme like experience on newer windows versions. I really want to like simpleclassictheme but it seems to be so hit and miss on any system I try it on. And once it's working it still feels like it could break at any moment(also because by default automatic update is enabled). From my my experience this is partially because simpleclassictheme needs an active internet connection to install some features(which it doesn't warn about) and uninstallation of startisback is....well not easy.

Personally, I use the anixx method to activate the real classic theme (https://www.winclassic.net/thread/990/windows-classic-theme-on-1903). I do not encounter any issue (the only problem is the impossibility of changing the settings based on the user session).

It looks promising!

Does the Windowblinds method work well on latest win 11? Are additionnal programs / scripts to install as well or is it self-sufficient?
