Hi, I'm Aaron Bewza and I've coded together a Windows XP shutdown dialog (in AHK) and I'd like to offer it out there for the Windows XP fans. Here is a link for the programs, they are in a ZIP folder so make sure to extract the contents to a location of your choice. Here is a picture of it: Here is a Youtube video of it in action:
Thanks very much. Remember it's still "beta" phase but it's ready to have its tires kicked. Aaron Bewza

I've updated the first post with the software links etc... please let me know how it works for you and if there are any issues. Remember it's for 64-bit Windows 10 but a 32-bit version is possible if there is enough interest.

How to add this?, i downloaded open the downloaded (zip) file... you will see a folder inside. "drag" that folder out to any location on your computer, then look inside.
- there are three files two try: XP_Logoff, XP_Shutdown and XP_Settings, those ones. You can make shortcuts by "right-click" on one, choose "create shortcut" then put shortcut anywhere you want like on your desktop or start menu.

I think the update for that was actually made after this one came out ( October 2023, this was released in 2021), but otherwise I'd probably say it can be considered as a C++ alternative. :0

It Doesnt Work Anymore Pls Update Link Sorry everyone, I've deleted my Github account because I didn't have a cell phone to get the new security junk they want. It was easier to delete it. I've also noticed on Windows 11 the background fade is all messed up... not sure what to think about that, does it still operate correctly on Windows 10? I built it for 10. I'm unable to contact the guy who wrote the fade function... that's at the Autohotkey website I can no longer sign into, not sure why. Is there a decent place other than Github to host this thing for download? much 'preesh
