Taskbar's like that since you reverted it back to 10's... and 10's taskbar has been rather broken with the Classic Theme for quite some time now. As for the settings icon, I'm not aware of a way to remove that, as it's not listed with the rest of the System Icons. There could be a registry key for it, but I wouldn't know.

IDK what happened there. Maybe a good combo of Aero Lite, Win 10 taskbar, Windows 11 theme and then killing the theme in winlogon.exe trough process hacker. BTW this rounded taskbar surprised me I like it but start menu button missing. I mean its clickable but no icon. Now I tweaked a little more and everything okay. But I have a feeling we really need to say goodbye to classic theme if the later releases of Win 11 will remove the Win 10 taskbar completely.

I recommend using Win11's stock taskbar for classic theme if you don't have a replacement (like SCTT, RetroBar, etc.) because it renders more reliably than Windows 10's.
As for the task manager, it never worked in classic theme, use a replacement like ProcessExplorer, Process Hacker or the Windows 7 version of it.
