I'm quite happy staying on W10 1607, but I'll def being looking into trying out W11 in the future. Thank you to everyone who responded to my original comment confirming I can install it.

Create a folder named System.{BB06C0E4-D293-4f75-8A90-CB05B6477EEE} Thanks. I wish I can access it from Control Panel. The new version of Explorer Patcher includes an option to disable redirect the control panel links to the Settings app. For instance, the properties of "This PC" to this System page instead of "Settings", and also when invoked from the Control Panel.

Really? Same thing with personalization and default programs panel? Edit: I installed explorerpatcher, and the option is not in the settings dialog of explorerpatcher. How do I get it?

Awesome! Edit: I installed explorerpatcher, and the option is not in the settings dialog of explorerpatcher. How do I get it? You will need pre-release version of ExplorerPatcher.

Do I have to compile it, and if so, what do I need to compile it? Checking "receive pre-release versions" does nothing and doesn't prompt me with an update.
