What exactly do you mean?, the most accurate way to get the XP theme is to use WindowBlinds iirc

I have done this few times so here's what you do: 1. For the window boarders use WindowBlinds (it has 30 day free trial) 2. For taskbar use RetroBar 3. For icons use CustomizerGod 4. For start menu use Open Shell Notes: I've changed folder icon by following a tutorial on youtube: youtu.be/jf_Y2aLu4B0?t=1157In the description of this video you also have links to some of the software i mentioned above and to the windows xp icons And here is the video explainging retrobar also with a download link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=j172icGBhRoI hope that it helps :>

It might be a bit late, but here are a few other programs that weren't mentioned: - WinAero Tweaker (for start sound, classic shortcuts icon, and several other nifty features) - Resource Hacker (for winver (basebrd.dll) and changing DLLs and program files in general) - OldNewExplorer (reintroduces some old explorer functions) - Microsoft Plus! Patch by LukeLC- HackBGRT (Windows boot logo changer, only works on UEFI) - Windows XP Shutdown dialogue can be found on tenforumsYou can use a VM with shared folder or another XP computer to source system files and assets from XP.
Another user on here mentioned that you can get the XP Tour up and running with ease: www.winclassic.net/thread/658/windows-xp-tour-working-1903(I tested this on 21H2, it works flawlessly) I also recommend getting some kind of Take Ownership context menu registry key, it helps a lot with the system file customization. One thing I am still struggling to figure out is how to get those classic icon highlights back, I've tried several things suggested both here and other places, and nothing is working.
Edit: - Iconoid does work for adding a highlight to icons, but it doesn't actually affect the selection itself. /edit
I'm sure it would really tie the theme together. I might make a thread about it later... there has to be a way.
Hope this helped, if I find anything else I'll post another reply! Good luck!
