When I try to run an UWP application with a third party shell, I get an error of "unregistered class" or "Files system error" (in French, Erreur du système de fichiers). This problem is known (https://github.com/cairoshell/cairoshell/issues/365), but I can not find any solution. This issue is worrying because it does not make sense of executer explorer.exe as a background shell, notament because the system resources consumed are higher. Maybe someone on this forum could have an idea about this issue.

I dig up this subject; No one has information about this issue ? Otherwise, it does not matter, I will ask the question elsewhere, but it is to be sure.

I did not know about this problem, thanks. So, it is one more reason not to use this UWP/Metro crap.

Afterwards, it is possible that this situation will be less present in the future with WinUI, but that does not take anything away from the shitty character of everything "modernUI". For example, Windows Terminal requires the bloated TextImputHost to function. It is clear that Microsoft is trying to force a much more closed system than before, in the front-end as in the back-end. As long as Windows NT exists, I don't worry too much. The major risk in the future seems to me WCOS.
