Apparently Windows Blinds can be used to mimic the old address bar/search bar from Windows 7 and it's pretty convincing (in my opinion, this was released as a test skin so it's not final)
This was just released on Deviantart (this was made for Windows 10 but im using it on Windows 11)

Yeah! I've done it by simply decreasing the toolbar texture itself in height but keeping the size of the rest the same, so basically it's more transparent pixels than actual pixels. it has its issues however, for example when typing in the adressbar explorer replaces the transparent pixels with black, and when the toolbar is loading the loading bar is still the old width, I haven't found a fix for neither yet. I have made a more accurate 7 overlay for hovering over the toolbar buttons, and i'll see if fytuf (the creator of betteraero7x) wants too include it aswell. Here's what it looks like:  |
