I have a Windows 2000 machine, however I can't figure out how to run programs like Discord on it using third-party software that makes it compatible. I want to run it in hope of playing around with the environment variables that windows has.
If you can also tell me how to do this for XP, that would be much appreciated.

It is possible to use Discord on Windows 2000 with an extended kernel and the right browser.

Sure, but I am not really looking for running it in a browser. I want to use ripcord or something, however it doesn't seem to be a valid win32 app.

ripcord is 64-bit only, you'll need atleast windows server 2003/windows xp professional x64 with a modified kernel or windows vista x64 to run it
