For whatever reason, every time I try to log in with CLS2, I get stuck on applying personal settings or whatever. Is this a known issue with any workarounds? Thanks; Maya Maya This issue is known, and you can escape this screen with alt-F4. While we do *kind of* know why this happens, it's more of CLS2 not taking into account an unpredictable behaviour *Windows' own login* exhibits- and we don't yet know a way to prevent it. The software is open source and can be added upon.
justaduckinacostume If you open services.msc, is the service Classic Logon Shell Launcher present and running? If it is not present, try reinstalling. If it is not running, right click it, and start the service. If this doesn't help, can you give any more info about the issue? |

Hello! I want to report some bugs. 1) I'm using Win7. When I use Aero themes, the "ok" "cancel" "options" and "shutdown" buttons cannot display correctly. They turned into a line! In classic themes, they are displayed, but only the upper part is displayed. 2) The "Press KeySequence to begin" screen's title and text cannot change. I change it in CLS Customizer but it didn't change to the text I've set.The title is same as login screen and the text hasn't changed. ![]() And the help text cannot wrap automatically and has run out of the box. I will attach pictures as an attachment. |

A few posts back implies that it likely won't work on 7, but wow I guess it does. Maybe someone could make a few patches to the source and release a version made for pre-10. Although maybe starting over and not relying on the stock login (at least for 8+ where it needs DWM) would be best.

this is a late post but i installed the program and when i opened the logonshell exe and inputed my password to test if it worked and it just gave me a credentials error (but it is my correct password?)

I'll be updating this file soon because I realized that it does not change the cursors, it does not change the fonts, it does not turn off text anti-aliasing, and it does not affect the border size.
EDIT: These things are all now included in the REG file in my previous post.

So I installed Logon Shell on my PC and I was thinking to try the startup screen. The first thing that it's enter the password, I type the password correctly but somehow, It was incorrect, I try to Shut Down, Restart, and Stand By it and type the password correctly, But no matter it's still incorrect, I was thinking to cry. My mom and my dad bought a HP laptop but it was incorrect, (The password I put was correct) I try to click any keys my my keyboard and nothing happening, It still said that I have to type my CORRECT password, but it was incorrect, I try to click shift while it was booting, It was trying to sign it my default sign-up (I was on Windows 11 24H2 btw) BUT STILL, it open the Windows XP startup (The reason why is because I need to make my PC look like Windows XP since I was a fan of it) But now my password is incorrect while typing it correctly, Logon Shell had to be the worst outs yet, It's my opinion tho but I really hate it
Please fix it to me and Thank you.
