FVWM95 is a Window Manager for X Window System that tries to have a very similar look to Windows 95. It was initially released in late 90's and its last version in 2003, but a debugged fork from 2017 exists.
It was included in many distributions from the time, like Red Hat Linux or Debian. It was later removed from Debian's repositories due to issues with UTF-8.
Being based on FVWM2 makes it very flexible and customizable, but also a bit hard and time consuming to configure. Its manual page of 1269 lines is very well documented though. Screenshots Features
- A taskbar thanks to the FvwmTaskbar module.
- An appearance similar to Windows 95 (obviously).
- Virtual desktops.
- Keyboard shortcuts.
- Pretty much every feature that Fvwm2 has.
