I love the classic theme with the colors of wines 95 but using it is problematic. So far I have been using SCT, it doesn't make sense because the program was loading but it didn't invoke the classic theme, you just had to do it manually. There was also a problem with the use of SCTT because the program did not start despite the configuration. The biggest problem was the slowdown of the computer and the fact that after logging in you had to manually start the explorer.exe process. At the moment, SCT does not start at all when clicking on the icon, nothing is happening ClassicThemeTray is also not working, I have followed all the steps in this tutorial www.winclassic.net/thread/990/windows-classic-theme-on-1903I have no idea how I could use the classic theme without problems Regarding SCT, I can't help you, I'm not competent for its use (I don't use SCT, because I couldn't do better than the automatic restart of explorer.exe). Concerning ClassicThemeTray, are you the only user on the post where you want to activate the classic theme? If not, it's better to use this : www.winclassic.net/thread/1221/themeswitcherscriptsIf so, the best thing is : www.winclassic.net/thread/990/windows-classic-theme-on-1903In general, the scheduled tasks method always works, you just have to be careful not to make mistakes. An additional description of your problem would help.

I did all the tasks as it should be so I don't know why it doesn't work i tried too this is a prob with tash schd it just queues the tasks ur better off creating a userinit script then that method

@orthodoxwin32 I checked and this method doesn't work either What exactly is not working ? When you open your session, the classic theme does not activate at all, or the classic theme is activated everywhere except in the explorer? It is also possible that you get a black screen (problem loading the explorer).

@gumball It's normal that the compiled failover scripts don't work, I haven't updated them. Normally, you must use the latest scripts contained in the ThemeSwitcherScripts/blob/main/Switcher_scripts-Theme_type_only folder
Afterwards, there are probably other problems, but I don't see anything impossible, either with my scheduled task method or that of anixx. I don't have much time at the moment, but as soon as I have some time, I'll take care of the problem more precisely.

Well, apparently I'll never be able to use the classic theme Welp, if you want, you will! I posted link to SetClassicTheme.exe, no virus false-posivities, also it works on a host computer. If this will not work, then sorry... I'd rather recommend using SetClassicTheme.exe on VM. Also, disable LogonUI theme by renaming Windows.LogonUI.DLL to something else. If you have any questions, you can ask me, or someone else.
