Hey, I have this annoying issue with back/forward navigation buttons in explorer. They are missing half of the time, and if they are present, they are a bit offset from their spot. Other than that, they work without issue. The fact that this happens sometimes is really annoying, as it implies that there is some random non-deterministic bullshit going on (race condition?). I honestly rather it not show up at all anytime. I tried Explorer++, but I find that it's missing some features such as remembering a folder's view setting. I am using Tiny10, anixx's tutorial (up to the 15th point), TaskBowFree, Winaero Tweaker. I also had the same problem when I tried using SCT. My uneducated theory is that ExplorerPatcher and OpenShell's Classic Explorer are conflicting somehow. My ExplorerPatcher settings are shown below. It should be noted that this issue does not occur in explorer-style apps such as control panel. I searched this forum, and ExplorerPatcher's github issues, and found nothing.

Note - This also happens when OpenShell Classic Explorer is not installed.

Hello waldemar21214, and welcome to the WinClassic forum! I know this issue, although it doesn't bother me, because I don't use the address bar. I have searched several times for the cause of, but unfortunately I have not found any explanation. If I ever find one, I'll let you know.

I see. Thanks for the reply. I have another clue - the buttons, if not present, can be made to show up by enabling/disabling the toolbar (the bar with File, Edit, View, Tools). Perhaps it's possible to fix the issue with some sort of script, by making it switch instantly upon launching a folder explorer window, propably with the AHK thingy I keep seeing on this forum (not knowing what it is really). Other than that, my options are to either suck it up and use Explorer++ (compiled myself, without the nasty go-one-folder-up-on-double-click trash feature), or go the extra mile and do a 2000 style explorer like some I've seen here. By that point, may as well change all the icons and sounds. Regards

pro tip: enable the launch folder windows in a separate process option on folder settings.
