Hello, i am releasing a Slate theme for Windows 10. This should have most of the immediately visible areas changed to Slate, but if you see any XP base theme leftovers, let me know in the thread NOTE: You'll probably need to apply some window metrics manually, they will be shown in the thread
A RetroBar theme is also available now. (made by travis and me) slate.png goes into %localappdata%\RetroBar\Resources
the XAMLs go into %localappdata%\RetroBar\Themes
Note that i will probably not be making the Open-Shell skin, as I use the classic start style personally, with a matching image

This was something I wanted to happen/do for a long time. I just made a W.I.P modified version of the theme to make it more accurate. Here is a list of some of the changes I made:
Slate styled Group Headers, I haven't changed the hover and selected states, but they still look really good.
More accurate Context Menus, including checkmarks and bullets changed.
Fixed caption buttons, the borders are no longer really dark.
Changed titlebar text shadow color to black & changed how menu bar items look when hovered/selected.
I also fixed groupboxes no longer having borders.

That's the problem, I don't know how to switch to a .msstyle since it just opens the desktop icon window instead. This is because there is no associated .theme file. You have to create one. I'll take care of that in the next few days. |
