been working on a dark colour scheme for the classic theme, and i've noticed these dark blue underlined bits of text in places like explorer and winver, which are hard to read and slightly out-of-place looking: i've looked through all of the options in the "appearance" tab in display properties, and, unless i'm missing something, can't seem to see any way to change the text colour. is there any other way to change it, like editing registry values, or am i simply out of luck?

It's either HotTrackingColor or MenuHilight that you need to change - use a program like SMACC to alter that value; afaik Deskn/Display Properties is too outdated to adjust those values. EDIT: If you use WinClassicThemeConfig, I think it's Hyperlink you need to change.
