This is such an awesome idea, honestly something I never even knew I wanted.
One thing that comes to mind: Super Mario 64 is, for all intents and purposes, open source, and has already been ported to natively run on Windows (same goes for OOT). So theoretically, it would be possible to modify it and turn it into a screen saver. Of course, this would be a lot of effort, especially for just a single game. The only other, somewhat more practical alternative I can think of would be a modified emulator. But again, that would require a lot of work to achieve. A video recording is definitely the easiest solution here. Plus, a program like Wallpaper Engine would allow you to apply that as your desktop background, too.

About wallpepre engine I`m not sure because there can be only GIFs and this promgram if i remember right it`s paid program, video this easieast but one of wors solutions because when you see clock then all magic dissapears

I found the way it can be done. The ROM needs to be recompiled by N64Recomp, I would do it but i can't compile the recompiler
