Recently, I saw that it was possible to get a Compatibility tab in Windows 2000. It's hidden by default, but you can get it by running this command: regsvr32 %windir%\apppatch\slayerui.dll It looks like this:
The Compatibility tab in Vista-11 is stored in acppage.dll(.mui). If you want to make that look like the Windows 2000 version, that's where to look.

Good find. I was able to remove settings that i don't use frequently. Thank you.

So long Windows 2000 existed, and nobody knew about this feature.

Maybe this was to prepare for Whistler?

Wow, didn't even know W2k had this. BTW, how does one change the name of a compability layer, like in ECP's screengrab?

Thank you. Does anyone know how to add Windows 2000 compatibility mode - is that also done through the String Table?
My version of the dialog. I noticed, even with keyboard shortcuts enabled, this didn't have them on, which is odd, because nearly every Windows dialog had them, so I added my own. Also took a bit of liberty and renamed one of the XP compat layers to NT4. XP SP3 and the other compat modes are still untouched beyond added Compatibility Layer to end of them. I also changed each colors mode to their classic naming scheme. EDIT: I just noticed Apply uses the same keyboard shortcut. Oh well, it still works.
