Or replace them with blank icons? I already tried making a custom 7tsp theme to replace them with blank icons, but either that doesn't work or I did it wrong because nothing changed. Attachments:

You should be able to delete the icon resources from imageres.dll located in system32 (or imageres.dll.mun depending on what version of Windows you are running). Just use something like resource hacker (http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/) and delete the icon group resources 5100 and 5101 and save the imageres file in another location, though make sure to create a backup of the original imageres file before replacing it with your modified version!
