For the fun of it (and because I didn't know if anyone else has tried this yet) I tried this project on Windows 11 (21H2), to see what works and what doesn't! The first screenshot that says "PROBLEMS" in the folder name are ones that either are broken or that I messed up installing them at some point and idk if I just did them wrong. The theme on this is bad but that wasn't the point of this anyway. View AttachmentView AttachmentView AttachmentFor homegroup cpl replace hgcpl.dll with W10 versions. For percentercpl use the DLLs from the 1st version to regsvr32 then copy back the dll from the latest version. Make sure that you apply every step required for genuine center because it should work. I didn't test security center in 11 so I don't know about that. Since Windows 11 is still getting rid of some CPL applets and that process is still not finished i didn't add 11 to the support list. But everything in the pack should work in 11 as well. Sorry for the late reply, havent been that active lately. I went up to 23H2 this time and redid the processes I did get Homegroup CPL to appear, but it was missing a icon for it. Im guessing thats because Homegroup was removed in the main shell so it doesnt have anything to link too. I did look through the registry and saw its linked to Imageres.dll icon #1013, and in the registry, its Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{67CA7650-96E6-4FDD-BB43-A8E774F73A57}\DefaultIcon for the Icon View Control Panel list, and inside the actual applet where it says "This computer cant connect to a homegroup" im having a hard time finding, if I do end up firguring it out, ill edit this post. Heres the ICO for anyone that wants to replace it via regedit IconGroup1013.ico (164.79 KB) The Performance Center did show up, I guess I missed the info for getting older versions of the DLL for it to work, but I got it now. Genuine Center did end up working, I just didnt do the System CPL correctly Security Center, I dont know what I did wrong on the multiple attempts I did the last time that was wrong, but I did it again and it worked. This is really cool to see it working 100% in Windows 11. I was thinking that at least one of them that MS would fuck with and break completely but all of them work! I do wonder about Homegroup's CPL specifically in later versions of 11, because I read a blog post from MS saying that they will be fully depricating the Troubleshooter by 2025, idk if that affect the CPL in any way.

View AttachmentF*ck Microsoft for removing the old Control Panel W Windows 7 Control Panel L UWP Settings and Mircosoft No way I think Microsoft just delete CLSIDs and deny your access of Control Panel, or redirect to Settings App

View AttachmentF*ck Microsoft for removing the old Control Panel W Windows 7 Control Panel L UWP Settings and Mircosoft they can't until when they remake not existed stuff in settings app, anyway as a gamer I won't install windows 11 until the Microsoft fix the input lag and performance issues of it (they won't), there is no way Microsoft is gonna actually end Windows 10 support in 2025 same as when they extended windows XP life to around 13 years and end it in 2014 because of Windows XP market share

It is supported till 2032 by microsoft. Do not expect the software providers to keep 10 support after 2025 for long,it will be 1-2 years at most.

Here is the NeoWin article, and another one. Apparently, Microsoft added a deprecation note, but that doesn't mean the Control Panel will disappear. However, some applets may be removed.

However, some applets may be removed. these lazy asses can't remake more complex control panel stuff like network and sharing center, the brand new settings app was dumbest idea, they could patch old control panel UI and update it exact same as when they updated the file explorer and made it look modern

Not much of use, but if you grab control.exe from a 7 SP1 iso, and rename the windows 10 control.exe to old after taking ownership, place in the 7 control.exe it works like a charm.
I don't know if this means anything, since it changes nothing for me but it could lead to something. Just needs the right research which I cannot do
No MUI needed, since there isn't one.
