anixx Hello, I updated the download link to a updated version of the patch. This version fixes the crashes completely.

Well, indeed, there is a shift in the start button layout... It is shifted to the right. Did you use the patch by Travis? I fixed this problem with the patch by Travis. However, the button unfortunately remains placed too low (compared to the old version of OpenShell). The latest version has the same start button shift.

The Windhawk mod that Erizur wrote to patch Startisback proves that it is possible to do the same thing for Open-Shell. The best would be to fork Open-Shell, but injected code is perhaps a more flexible method over time.

Since he made a patch for OpenShell, it indicates he could not fix it from EP.

The best would be to fork Open-Shell, but injected code is perhaps a more flexible method over time. My mod uses pattern matching to achieve results. It might be possible that these patterns get modified or get different offsets that might break them completely. The ideal method in this case would be forking into Open-Shell, specially since it's open source and shouldn't need a more complicated method to achieve things.

Ok, is there any working version of the startmenudll.dll now that will enable a normal taskbar, will be placed correctly and is at least version 4.4.191 (because otherwise the start button key on the keyboard will bring up the Win11 start menu)?
