If you've ever went to the Windows Media Center About page, then you most likely noticed that the OS name is Windows 8.1, even if you're running it on Windows 10. As it turns out, it's hardcoded in ehres.dll.mui, so you can change it by going into that file and changing it there will change it in WMC It's stored in String Table 380. The copyright text and date are stored in String Table 381 Here's how it looks after changing it to Windows 10:
