Who is running Classic theme with Win10, can you confirm or disprove that the labels on the taskbar not shown? Can one make a screenshot showing the taskbar without labels while the labels are enabled?

I assume you're not talking about the taskbar with ReactOS Explorer. Windows 10's default taskbar is a mess with the classic theme. It's not just taskbar labels that aren't shown; it's any text on the taskbar. This includes the tray clock, and labels on custom toolbars. On top of that, the taskbar doesn't really use a 'classic' style either. Rather, it uses some other style from some unknown source that cannot be changed (without either hacking some DLL or some 3rd party software). This seems to be a result of Windows not using visual styles (MSSTYLES) to skin the taskbar like it's done since Windows XP, when visual styles were first introduced. The most likely reason for this change is because of the addition of some taskbar settings that let you change its color and transparency (these settings do nothing for the classic theme, other than maybe change the color of the broken taskbar frame). Here's a screenshot of the taskbar with labels shown under the classic theme on Windows 10:

Thanks. What happens if to try to change the text color with ClassicShell or if to change the taskbar background?

Classic Shell doesn't help here, as visual styles aren't enabled. Changing the text doesn't work either.

What about running Classic theme over high-contrast theme? At least it affects the ribbons...

Forget it. The Windows 10 Taskbar uses a whole new button control, and AFAIK only one application can restore the old control: StartIsBack++ . I don't know how it would interact with the Classic Theme, but I'd imagine the results would be...better than what we have now.
