For those who don't know what the Basic HTML view is: It's a basic version of Gmail's website that doesn't require JavaScript and looks like one of the early versions of Gmail.

yeah it sucks, i don't like using the normal one because it takes forever to load, also it seems like the extended it to the end of this month.

yeah it sucks, i don't like using the normal one because it takes forever to load, also it seems like the extended it to the end of this month. You should switch to using a local mail client if possible. A good choice, albeit not with a classic style is Thunderbird. Alternative choice that is more classic is Windows Mail client.

Similar to firefox, thunderbird can be skinned to look more classic, but out of the box I think SeaMonkey mail works better with the classic theme
