Im trying to save time manually slimming down WinSxS folder for each and every version that i install so i need dos commands
say if i want to copy a folder and its contents like amd64_hid-user.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.14393.0_en-us_9316fb7701e51264 but copy a newer version and only need part of the name to autocopy it because the other folderamd64_hid-user.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.15063.0_en-us_76b6693524012765
So i want to copy the files i need to say C:\smallsxs via a batch do you guys have some examples of how to do so? Also i want to do same with files only Any suggestions???

thanks but the problem is that if the old sourcefile is say copythis1999.bat but the new version is called copythis2017.bat i need some kind of prefix to get the copythis2017.bat over to the desired folder basically anything after the name copythis....... Done this before?
