 All builds of Windows 10 (10240, 14393....etc) have a problem - a large gap between elements on the left side of Explorer. How to fix it and return the view from Windows 8.1? |

You will need to patch explorerframe.dll for that. I saw some friends achieving it but dont know which function or value they patch exactly. |

Is there any way to have a middle ground? It's either way too close or way too far and decimal values make it revert to 0

doesn't OpenShell change the offset from the 8.1 and below value? as in, it sets the pre-10 padding value plus the offset provided? meaning you can only get one under or above the value used in older windows versions, since they never changed how it applies the offset

It also handles the address bar height and refresh button width,but if you want the modification to be present in open/save dialogs too you will need also need to patch the dll in SysWOW64 (the 32 bit counterpart). |

This Windhawk mod may provide a solution to what you have requested (specifically setting "Navigation pane style" option to "Windows 7/8")
