⠀ aubymori Perhaps a clue to the answer : this is the same error you get when trying to run a UWP application without the explorer (explorer.exe process not present).

I found an issue with the Control Panel sidebar: its texture doesn't show up when it's supposed to. I'm on 1809 by the way The 1st screenshot is my Control Panel with OldNewExplorer enabled, and the 2nd one is my Control Panel with Aerexplorer enabled

Best use oldnewexplorer with only first 2 options enabled and then use aerexplorer for the rest.

You can't do this on 1809 without OldNewExplorer however, so just keep OldNewExplorer installed, but with every option disabled.

It seems, this mod changes the UIFiles, this is very promising! Maybe, you can make a mod that removes the Command Bar?

Thank you for this.
I am using 21H2
- I am experiencing some strange randomness in the navigation buttons alignment. Sometime it's fine, sometime not. (Most of the time it's not)
- Is there a way to disable the 3d borders on the nav pannel ? Like in Win 7 classic.
And about the "up" button, the one added by OpenShell had the aero-style. Would it be possible ? Or is not "genuine" ?

Windows doesn't have clientedge in classic theme by default. Also seems like in your case clientedge mod isn't working properly anyways, since it only affects navigation pane.

I am not using any clientedge mod (just learnt what it was), but it seems the borders are in fact added by ExplorerPatcher "classic theme mitigations" option. I will have to keep them on for the taskbar. edit: i tried this mod classic-theme-explorer instead of using ExplorerPatcher, because it seems to have the options for Enabling/Disabling the borders, but it is not working for me.

Can we have the option for custom height for the address/search bar + Custom Navigation Pane Height aswell? If possible aswell options to change the spacing between the back and forward buttons?

disable "Aero travel buttons" in aerexplorer as explorer in classic mode already applies the more accurate win7 variant

Yes, thanks
@clara Also i was able to make the "classic-theme-explorer" mod work by disabling the "Address Sync: Use full path" option (that was crashing it), so no client edge on navigation pane .

Anyone want to attempt to replicate taskbar skinning and the task list? Both would probably have to be remade. It'd be nice to finally get rid of StartisBack.
