Where's the download link? I can't see it. ;-; - Expand the Mod code section at the end of the first post in this thread - Crack open Windhawk - Pick "Create a new mod" and paste in the code from the spoiler section - Compile, then exit editing mode
Make sure you go through with the settings you need to change in Windhawk itself too! Good luck!

aubymori Thanks for adding the mod to the official Windhawk repository. However, unfortunately it is not yet stable. As crumble266 described, there is still a issue with the position of certain elements in the navigation bar. This is clearly a bug, and I think it can be fixed easily ; on the other hand, many people like to use the classic theme with Windows Vista 7 style. Finally, the classic theme was supported in Windows Vista and 7 ; one of the goals of this mod being to give the explorer an appearance close to these versions, it seems entirely logical to me to correct this bug.

I am using 21H2
- I am experiencing some strange randomness in the navigation buttons alignment. Sometime it's fine, sometime not. (Most of the time it's not)
Disable the Aero travel buttons option. Should not be used on classic. - Is there a way to disable the 3d borders on the nav pannel ? Like in Win 7 classic. ExplorerPatcher does this. Completely out of my control. And about the "up" button, the one added by OpenShell had the aero-style. Would it be possible ? Or is not "genuine" ?
Won't add.
anixx This should hopefully answer your recent post.

Hey there, is it possible to modify Aerexplorer's travel buttons? My theme has custom images for back and forward button but if I enable Aerexplorer's travel buttons, it will always use the standard Vista/7 ones no matter what, which means that it is built in to the mod. So I'm wondering if it's possible to modify the mod's travel buttons?

It doesn't really seem to work? I don't know why, but this is the only windhawk mod in which my symbol files loaded incorrectly idk why. Is there any fix to this? 19044.4529

Is there any fix to this? 19044.4529 It's common to get a popup like this immediately after installing Aerexplorer. It's a heavy hook that targets all processes, so just give it a second. Once the initial installation period is done, better optimisation measures are utilised by Aerexplorer itself, but this is a Windhawk limitation.

Latest version causes explorer to crash when opening file explorer or open/save dialogues sadly

Found out turning off the small address bar feature stops the crashing, but I'd like to have the small address bar. So strange, never had this problem before updating the mod.

Do you not have a small address bar with the feature disabled? The option won't work in recent versions of Windows 10 because they reverted the changes after iirc EU pressures to disintegrate EdgeHTML from proprietary Windows components like the shell.

Because in 1909 you can disable it's feature flag, while in 2004+ it was force enabled till 1904X.3754 where it became force disabled.

Just downloaded mach2, I know how to open it with command prompt but how do I actually use it to disable thick address bar? I'm also concerned that this will deliver the same result as the shrink address bar mod from the windhawk marketplace, which to it's credit does indeed shrink the address bar, but it's noticeably a few pixels taller than Windows 7's. Regardless, how do I actually use Mach2 to disable thick address bar?

Open a command window, navigate to the location of mach2 exe, then paste this: mach2 disable 18755234 Then restart your PC, your address bar should be reverted to it's 1903 look.

I have bad news for you all who use the Aerexplorer mod on Windhawk, the mod is no longer working starting with Windhawk 1.5 which causes this mod to not load symbols anymore.
