Wow this is the best Win 7 to Vista mod i've seen. Can you list what have you used for this? Or ever thought of doing a pack or something?

Great work. IIRC the shutdown button in Vista was a dark orange

Very nice!! Curious if editing shellstyle.dll like in vaporvance's Aero10 skin could add back the command bar icons. Also, how'd you go about migrating WMP11, same usual process as on win10? Great work. IIRC the shutdown button in Vista was a dark orange Depends what the default you've picked under power settings is. By default - orangeish, for sleep mode. Red if you've picked shutdown! So that detail's accurate.

This setup was made more accurate since I last posted this with more DirectUI mods, such as that command bar icon mod, the "Favorite Links" mod and a very accurate control panel mod one of my friends made. (It contained the CPL home and the classic view links) As for WMP11 I used "Install WMP11.exe" from WinClient5270's Vista7 pack. It's an automatic installer, you run it and WMP11 will be installed. However, keep in mind installing WMP11 on Windows 7 breaks OptionalFeatures.exe (I don't know if installing it on 8.x or 10 would do the same).

Thanks so much for the info! I'll have to test how install wmp11 fairs with win10 ltsc! Hope you update more on this :>

Awesome transformation! I was actually debating if I should do this, it looks more realistic. Did you use WinClient5270's guide and did your own tweaks, or did you use something? Regardless of how you'd done it I'd like for you to share it, maybe I'll do a Windows 7 to Vista setup realistically someday.

Does this have the Windows Vista programs (DVD Maker and Photo Viewer to be exact) imported on Windows 7? I have tried to install them from WinClient5270's pack on my PC but it says that i need permissions to edit system files... If you replaced them, can you explain how did you replace them without problems?
