So, I've found a workaround to get standard font smoothing (aka smooth fonts on title bars only) to work on Windows 7 and later via Theme Configurator, however, the Trebuchet MS font appears thinner than in actual Windows XP, despite having made it bold as you can see in the screenshot below. This also occurs on Windows 7, so it's not a Windows 10 issue. Another question I had concerning transformation packs to simulate Windows XP was about the blue sidebar in Windows Explorer, is it possible to bring that back? I've seen it partially restored before, with the eXPerience Windows 10 mod having a redirect to My Computer on the whole sidebar. I've used Aerexplorer, Classic Explorer (from Open-Shell), Quero Toolbar, and Windhawk mods that hide the Vista+ address bar, fix basic caption text color, fix medium icons not being 32*32 pixels, and unextend frames for basic-style themes. Any ideas?

This can be done with FindXer, but its a non-functional and purely cosmetic solution, also some have encountered difficulties with installing it on their systems. You can read more about it here. Here's the link to the extension itself, keep in mind that 32-bit one will not work on 64-bit systems.
I am "lucky", since it works for me, but i just don't like the way it functions. Ideal solution for this would be a totally new shell extention written from scratch, like ephemeralViolette 's Classic Explorer (which made quero pretty much obsolete at this point) with options to choose win98/win2000/winXP look. Something like this was tried with findxer itself, that allegedly can run a web page in a kiosk mode but it didn't really work, doing something like this deliberately would be ideal though, since it would be easily skinnable.

How do I download Findexer? It just refreshes the page whenever I click on "download NOW" without downloading anything

Nevermind, I found a way to install it via the Wayback Machine, anyway, can you link me to ephemeralViolette 's Classic Explorer thread?
