This font in WinSxS folder is identical to the one on my system. The only different one is probably at C:\windows\fonts It doesn't appear in the fonts folder, but it exists. To copy the file (and then post it as an attachment) run this command in Command Prompt :
copy C:\windows\fonts\marlett.ttf %userprofile%\desktop The font file should be copied to your desktop.

when i copy it, it doesn't show on the desktop In this case, just try opening the file by typing C:\windows\fonts\marlett.ttf (in the command prompt or in the "Run" dialog box).

OK, you can send me a screenshot of marlett in the font viewer (which you probably got when you opened the file). If I find that it is not the original marlett file, it will have to be replaced.

Indeed, it is marlett.ttf from Rectify11. Download marlett.ttf (27.07 KB) (it's from Windows 10, but I think there is no difference). But to replace the current font with this one, it seems quite complicated, but possible. I'm trying to experiment with this tomorrow, and I'll let you know how to proceed.

I believe installing this version on top of the Rectify11 one should work. If not, boot into WinRE, open a command prompt, and use that to copy marlett.ttf into X:\Windows\Fonts (Where X:\ is the drive with Windows)

Running commands as TrustedInstaller is not enough ?
