I slightly modified the Vistalike (http://www.classicshell.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=5655) skin to have a more accurate All Programs button font. Demo on Windows 10 21H2: VISTALIKE PowerButton Fix RevD.skin7 (1.82 MB) Vista Menu.xml (3.12 KB) (Config file for a accurate Vista look) Credit to juniper7 on the Classic Shell Forums for the original start menu skin.

We haven't had an update for Open Shell since like what April 2023 and it's very concerning. Though that start menu does look nice however.

There's so much I think could be done. The actual code for the start menu could be improved so get the menus closer to original. For instance in XP theme should be able to have the fonts in the upper part different from the lower, like in XP they are bold in the top part and not bold in the bottom. Also a change to make it easier to put the power and log off buttons on the bottom. Also a way to customise all the folder icons in the Programs tree. For the Explorer, an option to have the history on the back and forward buttons like it is in Windows. Perhaps also a movable address bar that can be configured to be breadcrumbs or not. I would love a pane for the folder pane that could be customised to be like XP or similar or put a search program in there. Perfect intregration with Retrobar would be good too. Are you talking on the right thread?

Yeah it was a reply to NanamiMadobe's suggestion that we hadn't had an Open Shell update since April 2023 and your reply that it was August 2023. I was suggesting things that could be done to improve Open Shell in future updates. I agree, not the right thread.

How so? Are you worried that it won't work with the newest Windows updates and it won't be fixed. There's still things I'd like to see implemented. I am not too great at coding so don't know how to work on it myself.

For anyone who wants it as well, here is a ZIP that contains start buttons ripped from Windows Vista's Aero theme. files.catbox.moe/vv0hpa.zipYou can use it with Open-Shell or SIB.
