Don't really like Vista that much and 11 is really limited with customisation anyway.

Real Windows 7 on a 2560x1440 monitor. (I recently got a new one) I'll never use Windows 10 made to "look" like Windows 7 even if you would pay me a million dollars.

I decided to give a try on making my windows 10 look like Windows Vista (I also couldn't get calendar gadget to work on the Windows Vista sidebar because it wouldn't be transparent)

Forced to make it look like 7? Hell no! They'll be too unstable and inaccurace to use. I'll just keep it at default Windows 10 looks. I'd rather take the software instability of a program patched to run on Windows 7 than the overall instability of Windows 10 made to look like 7. I also use Windows 7 for how stable and reliable it is and for how well it works. Not for the looks. I wouldn't mind using Windows 7 that's as stable and reliable as the original but that looks like Windows 10. That'll never happen with Windows 10, though.

Don't really like Vista that much and 11 is really limited with customisation anyway. Also you did a typo is customization not customisation, anyways I tried Windows 11 and I fucking despised that piece of shit! Its just a worse version of Windows 10 that forces you to interact with the shitter XAML, UWP, WinUI bullshit Interface I hated it I even reverted the Context menu cause that is how much I just despise Windows 11 that was not good enough for me so I went back to Windows 10. I'm going to move to Linux I'm still new to it after 2 years I don't run Linux baremetal its not my daily driver I think it will be a hell of alot better than the shit that is Shitblows 11 its getting worse they are even trying to shove their garbage AI into it. Though Windows 11 does have 1 small thing going for it that its better than the shitty Chrome OS man I despise that more than Windows 11. But Windows 11 will forever be the shittest version, Microsoft is not trying to make it good they are making it worse look at the shitty Start Menu and oh the Taskbar don't even get me started on that I could rant all day about that. Ubuntu is way better than Windows 11, Ubuntu is a pretty good OS compared to Windows 11 I just like the look of Ubuntu but Fedora is also pretty nice, but Ubuntu is a stable release while Fedora is a rolling Linux Distro there is also OpenSUSE. You can do more things with KDE Plasma and Gnome than you can do on most Modern Version of Windows aka Windows 10 and Winshit 11 plus I prefer their UI over Windows 10 and 11's. I think in the future I will be daily driving Linux instead of Windows. I'm done with Microsoft's BS. Anyways I Deuglyfied Windows 10 with a friend yesterday, I made it look alot better and gave it a more functional start menu and file explorer ribbon. I think I like the Echelon Project btw this is a Virtual Machine not my Host Windows 10 OS which is much better than Windows 11 btw. Sorry I just hate Windows 11 I can't stand it that is the only version I truly despise. This looks nothing like Windows 8.1 btw the Taskbar I feel is not the right color.

Windows can get alot worse let's stop having our heads in the clouds we can't put our eggs in one basket lets try out other OSes that are not based on Windows. You can't rely solely on Windows alone you will be in for a rude awaken I on the other hand have already prepared myself for the worst case scenarios, by trying out a non-Windows OS in a Virtual Machine.

I've used Linux before, i do think some aspects of it are nice but I'd definitely still need a Windows machine around

All programs are not compatible with linux, and since Gnome3 and new shell i feel it have is same problem as windows (UI ) My god, my best wish was to been able to use amiga os 4.2 , but that still a dream. I tried some distributions since 2000 (Ubuntu, Mandrake, Mint, Arch, manjaro, kubutu, .Aros (amiga side.) and a lot of shell like DWM, ) ok it works, but i all times encountered compatibility problems , even with Wine .) Office is working on linux? And about VM, i stopped doing that, i need fully 3d support, not a Vmware gpu. (Little off topic, in older company i was working (production) on a vista beta 2 environment , at same time all the company used 7 or 8 , was fun.^6. )
