Get C:\Windows\System32\SnippingTool.exe C:\Windows\System32\en-US\SnippingTool.exe.mui From the Windows 7 RTM or SP1 iso and Take Ownership of the original SnippingTool.exe and SnippingTool.exe.mui and them rename them. Move Windows 7's SnippingTool.exe and SnippingTool.exe.mui to its respective locations Example: Tested on 22H2!

I don’t see anything useful about this

I don’t understand, the non uwp version was never removed and it has the delay feature. What I’m saying is there’s no point in porting the windows 7 one because it just removes the delay feature while in windows 10 it has the delay feature

Newer versions have some annoying prompt about Snipping Tool being moved, at least in like 1809 or so. Newer versions also changed the icons to more Windows 10 styled. But if you want the best of all worlds (no notice, windows 7 icons, and delay feature) you can use SnippingToolEx, even on older Windows like Windows 7.

Oh, I understand now, I just checked my snipping tool and it has windows 10 icons, so you’re saying if I replace it with 1507 the icons would be windows 7 with the delay feature
